GLYNN NICHOLAS – Director, Producer, co-writer
Prior to establishing GNG, Director Glynn Nicholas had thirteen years creating theatrical works through his former companies GBS Productions and Art Cackle and Hoot Entertainment, fore-runners to the GNG model.

Critically acclaimed and commercially successful productions such as Kissing Frogs, Crossing the Line, Pumping Irony and Wrung Out, Plumber’s Opera were co-conceived, created and produced by these companies. Following its successful launch into the Australian market, Nicholas leveraged his relationship with the Melbourne International Festival of Arts Management to present Certified Male in 1999. Certified Male was the top-selling Australian show in the festival, earning broad audience and critical acclaim.

In 1996, GNG co-produced a ten-part television series with the ABC, The Glynn Nicholas Show.

SCOTT RANKIN - Co-writer, co Director
Awards include: Queensland Premier’s Literary Award - Drama, NSW Premier’s Literary Awards – Drama, Human Rights Award - Arts, 3 Green Room Awards, Ros Bower Award 2002, Australia Council Fellowship 2004/05, Helpmann Award.

Appointments include: Chairman of the Arts Tasmania Organizations board, a member of the Arts Tasmania Board and on the Australia Council’s Community Partnerships Committee, Australia Council New Australian Stories Committee.

Works include: Junk Theory, Ngapartji Ngapartji, Radio Holiday, StickybrickS, Certified Male, Kissing Frogs, RiverlanD, Box The Pony (with Leah Purcell), Go Pinocchio, Garden of Paradise, Beasty Girl, The Career Highlights of the Mamu, Leaves Falling at Midnight.

Creative Director of Big hART Inc – Big hART has won seven Coalition Of Australian Governments awards, an AFI award, been represented in National and International festivals, is currently the subject of an ABC documentary and an eight part SBS series, both screened in 2006/07.

ALEX SILVERMAN – Musical Director
An experienced accompanist and composer, Alex Siverman has scored and directed a vast array of musicals and plays, including Come Again, Conspiracy Cabaret, Oh Hamlet, Question Mark, Factory Girls and many others. His Chamber work includes recently working the London Philharmonic and is currently commissioned for work with the Linos Ensemble.

LUKE KERNAGHAN - Associate Director
Luke is Associate Director of the David Glass Ensemble, one of the UK’s leading physical theatre companies. Luke teaches mime and has directed or co-directed over a dozen productions in London, France, Switzerland, Canada and the USA. He trained at Central School of Speech and Drama, London, the Ecole Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq, Paris, and Oxford University.

MIKE WALKER - Sound Designer
Mike first worked at the Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton before training at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Sound designs in London include CAROLINE OR CHANGE, CAROUSEL, OLIVER!, THE GRADUATE, THE FULL MONTY, JUS’ LIKE THAT, SONGS MY MOTHER TAUGHT ME, BAT BOY – THE MUSICAL, SAUCY JACK AND THE SPACE VIXENS and JERRY SPRINGER – THE OPERA for which he won the first Olivier Award for Best Sound Design.

He was invited to Singapore by SRT in 1994 to design INTO THE WOODS and has designed over thirty productions there since. Mike, with his company Loh Humm Audio, provide consultancy, project management and installation services for theatres. He is a Royal National Theatre Technical Associate.

TERENCE O'CONNELL - Original Director (Australia)
Terence is a Nida Graduate who has created or directed some 150 productions in theatres, circus tents, comedy clubs, concert halls and cabaret venues across Australia and internationally. His national touring productions include BOUNCERS, Steven Berkoff’s Decadence, The Rocky Hooror Show, Glynn Nicholas Crossing The Line, I Only Want To Be With You -The Dusty Springfield Story, Life On Mars - The Words And Music of David Bowie, Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story, The Secret Diary Of Adrian Mole, Circus Oz, Flying Fruit Fly Circus and Certified Male.

JENNY HOPE - Original Movement Director (Australia)
Jenny Hope has combined a career as a comedian, director, choreographer and television producer. She has worked with companies including the South Australian Theatre Company, Belvoir Street Theatre and Sydney Theatre Company.

She has had a long association with Theatresports and currently works regularly as a comic at Sydney comedy venues and on the corporate circuit throughout Australia. Some successful comedies she has helped create include Who Killed Santa?, The Pitch, Those Beastly Girls, Bonds Have More Fun and Completely Lost in Space. Her film and television credits include Thank God He Met Lizzie, The Venus Factory and All Saints.

GREG RIDDELL - Original Musical Director (Australia)
Greg Riddell graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Music (Composition). Since 1976 he has been a freelance professional musician and composer working in various media, including film and television, orchestral music, theatre and major events.

His works have been performed by orchestras including the Adelaide Symphony and St Petersburg Symphony. He has been Composer in Residence for the cities of Sale, Williamstown and Footscray, and from 1985 to 1988 he was Music Officer for the City of Footscray. During the same period he was Head of Music at Footscray TAFE.

Since 1989 he has been Musical Director for the Great Big Opera Company. Events in which he has performed include Grease (1993), I Only Want to Be with You (1995), Two Up (1996), The Main Event (John Farnham, Olivia Newton-John and Anthony Warlow, 1998), The Rat Trap (Musical Director, 1999) and the Bharatam Dance Company (Musical collaborator and sound recordist, 1999).
