I had no idea what to expect from this play, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The cast are ace, the script excellent, the music is good, and it does leave you with a lovely warm feeling. A feelgood comedy/musical that deserves to be seen by a wider audience!

Family Fortunes legend Les Dennis in a musical play sketch show type of thing. What could go wrong? Surprisingly, very little as it goes. This is a cracking show which coud bring a smile to the stoniest face. All the cast are great and it turns out that Les can (almost) sing! Go and see it and you'll feel great for the rest of the day.

Feel good musical. 11 Aug 2007

I have seen lots of shows at this years fringe but I will only write reviews on shows that I have thoroughly enjoyed. (Hence only a few reviews!) Certified Male was one of those shows. It was a feel good musical that was funny in places, but what set the show apart for me were the performances of the cast. They were all excellent and you could tell that they enjoyed performing the show as much as the audience enjoyed watching it. I should also mention the actors miming skills were brilliant. Go and see it and you'll leave smiling.

Certified male is absolutely brilliant. The guys are all incredibly talented - it was funny, great singing, good story. Got standing ovations at the end and it deserved it. We went along randomly to the show as a last minute decision and afterwards I was suprised that there hasn't been more hype about it. Les Dennis was particularly good - was a bit skeptical about him as he is the 'guy from the soapy' but his comedic timing was perfect. Good on you guys.

Have just returned from this show and am still on a high. The entire cast are nothing short of fantastic. The story has you intrigued, the songs are funny (and having a live pianist is fabulous) and considering the cast only has a few props, it has to be some of the funniest acting (with pretend props) I have seen in a long time. All 4 of the guys are brilliant actors and this play will have you laughing out loud whilst making you think about what life can throw at you. I can't recommend it highly enough. Don't be put off by the pictures on the flyer, they don't illustrate the quality of this play at all. Buy a ticket NOW !

I only went cos my mother wanted to see Les Dennis. But the show was superb, and I even forgot it was LD on stage. Apart from the part where they stepped out of character and tookthe piss out of him :grin :grin :grin

Briliant show - just wish it would tour so my friends could see it too.

Cried laughing at the show. We were unsure what it would be like but it turned out to be the best thing we saw all weekend. I dont know which was funnier the script or the visual. Well done guys. Meeting the cast afterwards (we were the crazy women!) made it even more memorable. :p

BRILLIANT. LAUGHED ALL THE WAY THROUGH. BRILLIANT WRITING, DIRECTING & ACTING. BEST THING I HAVE SEEN FOR YEARS.
I am a member of a very successful amateur drama group in the UK and wondered if there was any chance of this being performed by us?
